Item Title
C-27 Continue contract for IDEA required Parent services for school year 2009-2010.
Issue/Rationale
The IDEA federal law requires activities for parents such as scheduled meetings and trainings, surveys and newsletter communications. We pay a parent to provide services in addition to participating in planning and writing those sections of the federal grant, acting as an advocate and parent liaison at meetings and IEP meetings, also responding to parent calls.
Recommended Action
Approve continuation of contract as submitted.
Financial Impact
This is funded in IDEA Grand funds. The use of a part time contract for the time actually spent has kept this at under $15,000.00.
